Who I am

My name is Soad Ibrahim, and there are many of us inside me!
I was born into an Italian-Egyptian family.
This has always exposed me to experience different Soads in one person and to seek my identity in the midst of diversity.

Exploring and respecting the infinite nuances of humans and the whole manifestation, to understand the Oneness that binds them together, is my key to understanding the world in which dance is the common thread.
The awareness of how dance has always saved me
especially in times of suffering,
motivates me to offer others this possibility.

For twenty years I have been dedicated to educating and promoting dance in contexts of migration and nomadism by being in close contact with communities, accompanying people on their journey of transformation, to let the Beauty that lies within each of us, no one excluded, emerge.

Since I was a child, I have loved practicing and researching various styles of dance because they allow me to train my mental and body flexibility and infinite creative potential to seek my authentic expression in movement.Dancing different forms is like speaking different languages, understanding different cultures and thoughts, and through them understanding myself.

I am trained in DanceMovementTherapy and for ten years I have been involved in the practice of Danza Duende

a path that perfectly complements my history and my need for research.
